Mary Frances Flanders
Mary Frances Flanders, a 32-year-old North Carolina native turned Georgia transplant has been involved in pageantry for a decade, having competed in the USA system, United States system, International system, and now the United States of America’s system, where she holds the title of USOA Ms. Georgia 2021.
A former journalist, Mary Frances had the opportunity to shadow and interview former First Lady Rosalynn Carter as well as 1982 Heisman Trophy recipient Herschel Walker. She has written for multiple publications as well as served as the Assistant Editor of Reiner Magazine with National Reining Horse Association (NRHA). After nearly a decade working in publications, she recently made the transition into sales and works in Internet Sales at a Toyota dealership (Pitts Toyota).
Over the years, Mary Frances has devoted her spare time to volunteering for a broad spectrum of causes. Her greatest desire is to serve and speak out for the voiceless and oppressed in hopes of bringing about awareness, as well as the desire to propel change. Aside from volunteering, in her spare time, she likes to hike, travel, fish, kayak, cook, read, spending time with friends, and play with her Toy Australian Shepherds, Trixie and Katya.
As an ambassador against addiction, Mary Frances is devoting her time with local and national organizations to partner with in regard to her platform, #FaceYourFEAR. Her desire to show people that addiction doesn’t have to be a crutch, rather a stepping-stone to a better future.
